Lovely, professional single mum based in Victoria is looking for her next Au Pair to assist in caring for school age children and to help support caring for her disabled 9 year old son.
Mum works in the Medical Industry, and works irregular hours, with travel.
She has 3 beautiful children, a girl aged 12, and 2 boys aged 7 & 9.
The 9 year old boy has Down Syndrome and is Autistic and non verbal.
He is a very happy boy and has a routine and entertains himself around the house with his toys.
He requires some assistance when eating and has started to use some sign language and has his own way of communicating his needs.
The mum is looking for an Au Pair to provide some extra help with the children before and after school and with some light housework.
She works unusual hours and is often called into work after hours.
There is a support team working with her, as well as family members to help out, so the Au Pair won't be left alone and will be provided with lots of support and training.
You will need to be flexible during the week with the mum's unusual working hours.
This would suit an older Au Pair who has experience / interest and passion for working with Special Needs children who also enjoys outdoor activities and loves cats and dogs.
This is a lovely family who enjoy the pool at home, the beach down the end of the road with the dog often coming with them.
They love to go camping, travelling around Australia, socializing with friends, playing at the park or riding the bikes.
This is is a beautiful location just 1 kilometer from stunning beaches, and a couple of hours from Melbourne.
There are lots of Au Pairs in the area as well as tourists & travelers.
This friendly family will include you in their activities and travels as much as you would like.
This is an amazing, and very rewarding opportunity for someone pursuing a caring profession who is also looking for a Cultural Exchange with a wonderful, warm family who will ensure you will enjoy your time here as well as gain valuable experience.
Full training & support caring for disabilities provided.
You will not be required to stay overnight on your own with the children.
Starting from early August - ideally you can commit to stay for 6 months and you must be a confident driver.
