It is essential that you are physically fit and strong as you will be assisting in the construction of a wide range of specialist event infrastructure at a number of major events across NZ. Think setting up structures like marquees/truss structures, and setting up fit outs for events.

Experience in events, construction, rigging, and manual labour are favourable but NOT essential for the right person.
Instead, the right person will be handy with tools such as drills, impact drivers (don’t worry, you don’t need to be a builder, just a basic knowledge is fine and an ability to learn quickly), enthusiastic, reliable, and available for flexible hours including some weekends/late nights and travel from time to time. Most importantly, we value a ‘can do’ attitude, positivity, proactivity and an ability to learn quickly on the job. A full ‘clean’ drivers license is preferred.

We run our lessons during daylight hours Monday to Sunday. Surf and snorkel lessons are both scheduled and on demand, so we are constantly on our toes and super flexible.
We want to hear from you if you have:
– Surf coaching experience with valid certification
– a current first aid certificate
– an awesome grasp of English
– excellent communication skills for all ages and can relate to a wide range of people
– fantastic group management skills
– experience working with kids
– water-based certification in outdoor education, lifeguard/dive certificate, is preferred.
